Abrahán is pronounced AHH-BRAN en Espanol. Abrahán Garza is a native Houstonian and Morrissey devotee. He began taking photos in 1994 when asked to cover the senior prom as a freshman.
He's an early pioneer in the cell phone photography movement, having shown at Talente Bilingual de Houston in October of 2005 with an installation called "The View from My Cell Phone."
Recently published on a cover of the Houston Press, Abrahán's Houstoric Project (http://houstoricproject.com) has gained notoriety and was also featured on local television in 2012.
In January 2013, he had photographs showing at TWO GALLERIES at the same time. (1.) Ratio: Photography Exhibition at El Rincon Social & (2.) 2013 Houston Press Artopia at Winter Street Studios.
February didn't find him slowing down as he was a featured on ArtInSight on HoustonPBS Channel 8 on February 28th, 2013.
He has one sister. His parents are named Jose and Maria. His life has spanned over 5 decades. Abrahán celebrates the day of his birth on the 28th day of each year.
